Mennonite Media exists to communicate the Good News through media, inviting individuals to faith and challenging the church to faithfulness. With the technology available today, people who don't attend church and yet are searching for answers to many of life's challenges, can find help through our videos, websites and radio work. They can find inspiration through daily, weekly, or monthly e-mail subscriptions and through Mennonite music CDs. We invite you to participate with us in exploring ways to provide media relevant to our culture. A faith perspective can make a difference.
Your contribution to the General Fund or to a specific area of work will be gratefully received and carefully and prayerfully used.
General Fund
Your contribution to the Mennonite Media General Fund helps Media staff continue to create a variety of outreach media and respond personally to people who call, write or e-mail.
Expanding Documentary Outreach
Critical social and personal issues plague millions in today's society. Since 2001 Mennonite Media has brought a message of hope through hour-long documentaries produced for national television. Subjects addressed in these programs include aging, addictions, housing, suicide, mental illness, hunger and forgiveness.
These moving documentaries have brought comfort and hope to thousands who have seen them. Your contribution will enable staff to continue to arrange use of these programs on television stations, and promote the DVDs for church, community and educational uses.
Radio Programming
Bringing faith insights into the difficult conflicts, issues and challenges facing families and individuals in our culture is the goal of a new, 15-minute weekly radio program. It will speak to urgent family and personal issues such as addicitions, mental illness, forgiveness and aging in light of Christian faith.
A guest interviewee will be included each week, with commentary, music and feedback from the audience. The program will touch people where they live by sharing the Good News in culturally relevant ways.
Your contribution will help develop pilot program and purchase air time.
Third Way Website Ministry
Presenting Anabaptist history, thought, and practice to those seeking information about Mennonites or Anabaptists on the Internet is the goal of Third Way Café. Many readers are finding the site helpful in their spiritual journey. Third Way Café offers the option of receiving daily Sip of Scripture and Stress Tips; weekly articles from an Anabaptist viewpoint on politics (Wider View) and family issues (Another Way); weekly media reviews and once-a-month peace stories.
Third Way Café provides an outlet for asking questions (answered personally), writing in opinions (Table Talk), and finding out about Mennonites.
Mennonite Media staff welcome your participation in this ministry, as we continue to develop new content for the site and respond to those who write in.
